Change. It happens to all of us. On average, every four years each of our cells regenerate. We may not look different, but biologically we are changed forever. The change may not drastically alter our appearance, lives, or those around us, but essentially, we will never be the same. When we say things like, “people don’t change,” we cease to realize that change is the only constant proven by fact. Change is an occurrence of life that most of us are inclined to avoid. By instinct, we notice a slight difference in our lives and instantly run in the opposite direction. The way that we resist change is what is unnatural. No matter what we try, in the end change always squeezes its way into our lives. How we approach it is entirely up to us. It can feel like extreme loss, or it can feel like a second chance at a new life. Luckily, I was graced with a second chance.
